His book Blindsided! is an International bestseller. It teaches business people how to identify the early warning signs, how to put systems in place to prevent your organization from being blindsided and how to strategically blindside your competition.
Jim's second book, The Learning Paradox, was nominated for the National Business Book Award and appeared on numerous bestseller lists. His new book, A Crisis is a Terrible Thing to Waste, will be published in 2010. It presents hundreds of case studies showing how environmental leadership can drive profitability and improve the bottom line, especially during recessionary times. The book draws on his experience consulting with governments, property developers and companies such as Wal-Mart and Cleantech on green issues. It also looks at the fundamental drivers that will ensure the continuation and acceleration of the trend of corporations going green, such as the price of oil and the rapid growth of the green consumer segment.
