quote:

My dad told me a story when I was twelve; I was born prematurely at 4 pounds, with underdeveloped lungs…I spent the first 5 weeks of my life in an incubator, dropped to 2 pounds, had multiple blood transfusions, jaundice, basically fighting off a whole slew of illnesses, fighting for my right to stay! 35 years have now gone by and with my fully developed lungs; I had the privilege to set foot a top of the world’s highest mountain; Everest. In those beautiful 15 minutes that I stood there, gazing at our amazing world, I made a promise; to help give back the gift I received.

François Langlois is the third Quebecer to have reached the summit of Mount Everest. He now dares to live his other dreams of which to set foot atop the the seven highest summits of the earth, consisting of the highest mountains on each of the seven continents. Reaching those seven summits is the ultimate challenge of climbers ... and of Francois Langlois himself. Very few people have completed the quest. The list is made up of Mount Everest in Asia, Aconcagua in South America, Mount McKinley in North America, Kilimanjaro in Africa, Elbrus in Europe, Mount Kosciuszko in Australia and the Vinson Massif in Antarctica. Having already climbed six of the seven summits, François will complete his quest in November 2010 during his expedition to Antarctica.

Since his expedition to Everest in 2001, François Langlois has had the opportunity to give hundreds of lectures on his adventures and share, at the same time, the life lessons he has learned; his humanitarian vision thus brings a perspective much wider than the athletic accomplishment alone. His presentation inspires audiences to believe in their dreams and persevere to overcome the obstacles of life.

When hired by a business, Francois will incorporate the philosophy of the corporation and its key goals to his presentation. He will also emphasize a specific message that the company wants to convey to their audience.

When presented in schools, Francois Langlois offers a presentation that incorporates very well into the teachers’ curriculum. He brings along a visual and oral presentation of 60 to 90 minutes for students from grades three to eleven. After an initial lecture, teachers frequently call upon his services year after year to speak before new students.
